Introducing CrowdSec’s New Notification Center: Seamless Integrations and Custom Alerts

Fragmented alert systems can slow down response times and increase risk in modern security environments. Until now, configuring notifications in CrowdSec required manually editing each Security Engine’s config files, and Console-based alerts were limited to email. We’ve fixed that with our new Slack and Webhook Integration!

A unified notification system built for security operations

The new notification center allows CrowdSec users to:

  • Configure all notifications directly in the CrowdSec Console
  • Integrate with Slack and Webhook (Microsoft Teams and Discord Integration are coming soon)
  • Define custom rules for alerts based on activity logs and system health

From fragmented to unified: a smarter way to stay alert

Users can now easily receive actionable alerts when a Security Engine or relay component goes down or becomes outdated, features previously unavailable without deep manual configuration. This not only improves operational awareness but also streamlines security workflows.

Built for teams, tailored for scale

This integration is perfect for:

  • Managing complex, distributed CrowdSec deployments
  • Keeping SecOps teams informed on the activity of all Security Engines
  • Enabling rapid response through real-time, customized alerting
  • Threat hunting and staying alert when your organization is being attacked

Control at your fingertips: manage alerts from the CrowdSec Console

Say goodbye to manually setting up notifications for each Security Engine’s configuration. Now, all notification settings, both for security events and CrowdSec Console activity, can be managed centrally from Slack, the #1 messaging platform used by 950K organizations worldwide.

This centralized approach reduces errors, improves visibility, and ensures consistent rules across your environment for faster debugging and a more reliable security posture. You can also define granular triggers for notifications, such as outdated agents or specific security events, helping you stay informed without unnecessary noise.

Notification center step-by-step

1. Alert detected on a Security Engine

Easily monitor when a Security Engine detects a security event.

2. Outdated component in the Security Engine

Stay on top of maintenance with notifications when a Security Engine component becomes outdated or inactive, eliminating the need for manual version status checks.

3. Rule configuration in the CrowdSec Console

Customize your notifications by defining rules directly within the CrowdSec Console. Choose the event type, notification channel, and conditions that trigger alerts, tailored to your team’s workflow.

More control, less complexity

CrowdSec’s integration with Slack and Webhook empowers teams with centralized control and tailored alerting, drastically improving the way you monitor and respond to security events.

This update enhances the value of CrowdSec for premium users by providing a modern, user-friendly way to manage and receive security notifications. You can now set up the integration easily by heading over to the Integrations tab on the CrowdSec Console.
